Thank you Sally for making this web, it gave me so much
information.
Unfortunately, I have read only two books of Heyer in english, which I
have found in second hand in London, and one in serbian, but it was a
disastrous translation. Since english is my second language, Regency
novel is quite hard for me to read becouse I can find words in
dictionary, but often I simply cannot picture the fabrics, designs,
some movements and those different carriages...
My first book was Devil's Cub and I almost red it in one day, couldn't
put it down. And it left me thirsty for more.
It will be quite a chalange to find any publishings on serbian that
are decently edited and translated with enough effort to acchive
Heyer's fluid text, perfectionate descriptions... Until such
translations make it to serbian publishers, I'll have to try to get to
english editions. |

Thanks for the excerpt in the bio section. Ihave been a Heyer fan for
over 43 years, have many(not all, alas!) of her novels. Each rereading
is as enjoyable as the first. I have to credit Miss Heyer's attention
to detail, and rich characterizations for some of the happiest moments
of my life. |

:-) I was introduced to Georgette Heyer books by my roommate my first
year in college.
I have been delighted by her many books over the years and haven't
managed to find them all. |

Last time I signed the guestbook it was in August and I had just begun
my GH obsession with only two books. Now I've finished 13, and I'm
still looking for more. I can't believe that they dont sell them here
in Dubai, but they can sell all the trashy romance/erotica books! So I
have to order them and wait impatiently till they arrive from Amazon.
Its a sloooow process but so worth the wait! I've been trying to find
good GH fanfiction (not slash pleaase!) can anybody recommend any
sites? |

I have been a fan of Georgette Heyer from the first book. My first was
Arabella, since that time I have bought and read every Heyer book I
could find. I think I have them all, but am not sure. I also love her
mysteries, and would love to see them televised. Thank you so much for
this site.

I'm so happy to have found this site on GH! I have been ill this
winter, and my aunt sent me, 'Venetia', as a light read. I thought,
"Oh no, not a romance novel!!", and images of the usual,
bickering feuds, ensuing bullying, or even rape of the woman, and
finally her ecstatic submission, came to mind.
What I found, were not only humor, engrossing vocabulary, a bright and
strong Venetia, and a noble Lord Damerel...and characters I would have
loved to 'hang out' with.
I love the character of Aubrey, and I think I fell in love with Jasper
Dameral!! I also found myself jotting some of the unusual sayings and
funny put-downs, in the book. At any rate, it certainly was written
with more depth then I have seen before, in the romance genre. Guess
I'm a Heyer fan, now! |

I have just discovered this website.
I thought I had all the Regancy novers of Georgette Heyer, but have
now discovered that there is one missing.
As I have read my collection at least ten times each, I will now have
to start searching again.
My first read was The Toll Gate, loaned by a friend on holiday in
Spain, and I was hooked. :o |

Hi,
I have long been a Heyer fan but am now revisiting novels I read long
ago. Glad to see that so many other people are enjoying them too. My
three boys are not interested, nor is my husband, so it is a wonderful
place I can go all by myself in this masculine household!
